Technosols Development in an Abandoned Mining Area and Environmental Risk Assessment

The study of Technosols development, spatial distribution and physicochemical characteristics is becoming more important in the Anthropocene Era. aim present was to assess soil features potential heavy metal release risk soils developed on different mine tailing types after waste disposal derived from mining activity Central Italy. Soils were analyzed for their morphological, physical chemical properties, a sequential extraction metals performed. investigated classified as toxic having some layer within 50 cm surface inorganic materials with high concentrations elements. Our findings showed that bioavailability potentially element changed according origin tailing. However, because acidic pH, there serious leaching which reduced where organic matter content higher.
